Sect of One is a small independent project. This page explains what this website collects and what we do with it. The short version: we only keep your email so we can tell you when the app opens, and we never sell it.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you join the waitlist.
- Your answer to one optional question (which part of life you most want to get in order), if you choose to answer.
- Basic email activity, such as whether an email was delivered or opened, which our email provider records for every list.
- Anonymous visit counts. Our analytics count page views without cookies and without identifying you.
We don't use advertising trackers, and this site doesn't set cookies.
How we use it
- To email you when the app launches, plus a few progress notes along the way.
- To understand, in total, which parts of life people care about most, so we know what to build first.
We only email you because you asked us to. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time.
Who helps us
- Kit stores the waitlist and sends our emails.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and provides the cookie-free visit counts.
- Google Fonts provides the typefaces. Your browser downloads them from Google, which sees your IP address when it does.
These services may store data in the United States or other countries. They handle it only to provide their service to us.
What we never do
We never sell or rent your email, and we never share it for anyone else's marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If the project is ever transferred to a new owner, the list goes with it under these same terms, and you can still unsubscribe at any time.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from any email in one click. You can also write to us to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted: sectofoneapp@gmail.com.
Children
This site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their emails.
Changes
If we change this page, we'll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll tell people on the list by email.
